Bridge the Gap between Managers and Working Parents

A training series to develop managers to work more effectively and collaboratively with their working parent team members.

The Problem:

  • Managers, tasked with growing and running the business, feel limited by employees’ insistence to work from home, work life balance, or limited hours.
  • Managers also may feel pressured to call employees into work, with productivity concerns.
  • Working parents, with much on their plates, facing a childcare crisis, and a post-pandemic lens, are careful of their time and advocating for themselves, working to set new boundaries and expectations with their managers.
  • Additionally, those working from home often feel they are not receiving enough information from their managers, leading to concerns about the ‘motherhood penalty‘, inadequate feedback and support for their current and future roles.

The work from home debate is acting as a barometer, amplifying the misalignment between employer and employee.

Our Objective

This program will build a better understanding between leaders and working parents, and increase:

  • Engagement & Connection
  • Productivity & Performance
  • Retention & Commitment
  • Communication & Culture

With our experience in working with parents, DEI, and developing leaders, we created a program that speaks to the needs of the current workplace and the future of work.

The Program

Our program creates a safe place for exploration for both the manager and the employee, and develops them individually, in a community and collaboratively within their direct report line.

While we will assess the specific needs of your business to determine the context, these are our pillars of content.
