A course for mothers returning to the workforce

THE WORKING MOM TRANSITION

HEADED BACK
TO WORK, MAMA?

Returning to work after having a baby is one of the biggest transitions a woman navigates — emotionally, logistically, and in terms of identity.

With Your Host

Sara Madera, Career Coach for Working Moms

Sara Madera is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF) and founder of Plan Creatively. She has helped hundreds of professionals — many of them mothers navigating career transitions — find clarity, confidence, and a path forward.

She knows this transition from both sides of the table: as someone who has hired and coached working mothers professionally, and as a mother who has navigated major life and career shifts herself, including relocations, role changes, and the particular kind of identity recalibration that comes with building a career alongside a family.

This course brings together her coaching experience and deep understanding of what working mothers actually need — not generic productivity tips, but real, grounded support for a real transition.

What you will work through

The Emotional Transition

Going from “mom” to “working mom” is an identity shift, not just a schedule change. We start by naming what you’re feeling, exploring what matters most to you through a values exercise, and building a framework for the guilt that almost every working mother carries — so you can define your own version of success instead of chasing someone else’s.

Getting the Logistics in Place

Childcare. Energy. Support. Community. These aren’t small things — they’re the infrastructure that makes everything else possible. We get concrete about what you need, who can help, and what to put in place before Day 1 so you’re not building the plane as you fly it

The Professional Side of Your Return

Know what to ask your employer before you go back. Understand how to negotiate for what you need — flexibility, coaching, check-ins — without shrinking. Learn how to talk about your career break with calm confidence. And if you’re looking for a new role, know exactly what to look for in a family-friendly employer and where to find them.

What You Will Walk Away With

If you're about to go back — or wondering if you ever will — this course will help you feel less alone, more prepared, and more like yourself.

You don't have to figure this out on your own.
